Summer Highs

Summer... Highs...

I know summer bling has already been featured but its just getting too hot to ignore the fact that we need some 'clean' and 'airy' shoes for the summer. Shoes that don't cramp our style and still are comfortable. Well this season has to offer plenty of jumping neons and classic with a twist. Well now, if you are like me you probably have a secret place in your heart for high heels and the following feature would be best suited to your needs.

Classic Collection

Classic Collection

Okay here is the deal.... I live in Karachi and in the mid of April its extremely hot here not to mention the total blackouts and the load-shedding happening nowadays on a daily basis. Now at night when the weather cools off I want to go out and party with my friends and family. But alas, I need shoes, shoes which can withstand the 'partying' and yet remain 'cool' in the hot and humid climate here. Surprisingly on my last shopping spree I came across some classic yet unresistable black evening pieces by at the local Marie Claire outlet at Bata. Here are some of the interesting ones.

These shoes are simple, classic, formal and 'cool' so when you are in town for some great pieces, do check them out at the local Marie Claire outlet.

Recycling

RE - CYCl'in 07

Recylcing is 'in' nowadays with everyone and everything going green. So its very 'natural' for our feet to follow the steps as well. Designers are coming up with new and innovative lines of shoes made either entirely or partially from recycled materials and thus declared eco-friendly. Some of the great picks are features below.

Eco-Friendly Line at Nordstorm

Green Destiny by Kurt Geiger

Strange - Believe It or not

Strange Believe IT or NOT.....

Lo' and behold..... I never thought I would ever come across a shoe which matches a reptile as much as this one does. This is a one of a kind creation by a cut-out wedge by Jill Sander. Interestingly its not off putting.

Spring BLING

Spring BLING

Its spring again but, but the weather somehow calls for lemonade and iced teas instead of pinacolada's well then instead of wearing disgusting faded slippers which are best left in the closet, try on the new collection of summer bling in the market.

The summer bling collection features slip on sandals and low heeled slippers ideal for a hot spring. The designs range from Funky to Grecian to blinging Diamonte.

If you are looking for some summer bling the check out the summer spring collection featured by NEXT.

Spring 2007 Shoe Trends

Spring 2007 Shoe Trends

Spring is for having fun and the best way to have as much fun as possible is with the most comfortable pair of shoes on your feet. This spring’s shoe trends are in favor of laid back yet a funky side. Metallics and wedges are back in but with a twist and in the most vibrant spring colors.

The hottest metallic shoes this season are lustrous, look-at-mew which can be used as both daytime and nighttime wear.

A must have fashion accessory seen on the runway this season has been hardcore hardware detail on sling-backs and platforms.

The best kinds of flats to be worn this spring are ballet flats. If you like keeping your feet on the ground then multicolored flats from the likes of Jeffery Campbell are the way to go.

Mettalics is in, but not in the form of chunky gold. This season if you really want to have gold bling in your closet then the best bet would be buying shoes which come in the combinations of white and lame gold.

If you are green life enthusiast and into recycling then this new trend would spot on for you. Recycled cork is the material of the moment when it comes to the new shoe lineup. The cork sandal is this year's answer to the espadrille wedge and you will see them in every color and price range imaginable.

The 80’s Vibe has been brought back in style with the Lucite see-through sandals. They are the perfect way to modernize the 80’s without looking like a Start Trek trooper.

Although wedges have been there for quite some time now, this season the wedges come back with a twist. They are much slimmer, funkier and more stylish than before. Perfect for both partying and a walk around the part.
